The Chipperfield Platinum Jubilee Event Committee are pleased to host the Chipperfield Theatre Group’s performance of “The Great British Bump Off”

Join us for an evening of nostalgia of Chipperfield on film in years gone by, followed by The Capone Investment – with shots of John Thaw and Peter Sallis in Chipperfield in 1974!

Friday 3rd June 2022 – 8pm – Comedy Night – 18+ Adults Only

The Chipperfield Platinum Jubilee Event Committee is pleased to present an Adults Only night of comedy featuring a star studded line up of :

Hal Cruttenden – is one of the top comedians working in the UK today, as well as being a highly accomplished writer and actor. He has hosted Live at the Apollo! Performed twice at The Royal Variety Performance, appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Would I Lie To You and Have I Got News For You. He has his own Radio 4 sitcom ‘Hal’, won Celebrity Pointless and is frequently seen on ‘Great British Bake Off – Extra Slice’.

Saturday 4th June 2022 – 3pm – Jacqui Hicks / Amersham Big Band

Chipperfield Platinum Jubilee Event Committee is pleased to welcome Jacqui Hicks (long time member of Shakatak) along with a fantastic Big Band! Amersham Big Band is one of the town’s most recently formed ensembles led by former BBC Big Band member, Ash Horton. The 25 piece band is already establishing itself with a range of exciting repertoire from Count Basie, Don Menza, Bob Mintzer, Buddy Rich and many more.
The band is privileged to work with world class soloists for this concert and is honoured to have Jacqui (vocals), Tim Garland (tenor sax), Martin Shaw (trumpet), Clive Dunstall (piano), Steve Rose (bass) and Colin Skinner (baritone sax) as special guests.

Saturday 4th June 2022 – 7pm – Louise Marshall Soul Band

Chipperfield Platinum Jubilee Event Committee is pleased to present Louise and her 6 piece band.
Known for her regular appearances with Jools Holland, Louise has worked alongside David Gilmour, Paul Weller, Chaka Khan, Beverley Knight, Chris Difford, Marc Almond, Dionne Warwick, Noel Gallagher, Michael Ball, Tim Garland, Ed Sheeran & The BBC Big Band to name but a few.
The band will be playing a selection of Classic Soul, Funk and Pop songs with perhaps the odd special guest sitting in!

Saturday 4th June 2022 – 7pm – Chipperfield On Film Through The Ages, followed by John & Julie (Chipperfield Village Hall)

Join us for a selection of Chipperfield on Film through the ages, followed by a real treat made in 1955, John & Julie. A charming, heart-warming story about two children who run away to London because they are determined to see The Queen’s Coronation. Brilliants shots and locations of a 1950s England.

Sunday 5th June 2022 – 6.30pm – Music from the Musicals Followed by Last Night of the Proms

Outstanding young opera talents Alistair Ollerenshaw (Baritone) and Jenny Stafford (Soprano) alongside West-End star Aaron Pryce-Lewis. Accompanied by a professional chamber orchestra led by Guy Button on Violin, with support from St Paul’s church choir. The concert will be conducted by Ben Atkinson, Director of Music at St Paul’s Chipperfield.

Programme to include:
Musical theatre classics – Gilbert and Sullivan, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Les Mis
Well-known operatic arias.
Traditional last night of the proms – Rule Brittania, Jerusalem, I Was Glad, Pomp and Circumstance March, National Anthem, Auld Lang Syne etc
